The Roodepoort SAPS has released images of some suspects responsible for the Absa ATM bombing at West Ways Shopping Centre in Helderkruin in August.
Security staff said there was nothing they could do as three men held them at gunpoint and managed to bomb the ATM early on Saturday morning 24 August. The suspects then fled with a large amount of cash. No one was injured.
According to Roodepoort SAPS spokesperson, Vincent Mashiteng, “The Gauteng ATM Investigation Unit is looking for the men in the pictures for ATM Bombing Roodepoort CAS 1035/09/2013.
“The men used explosives to blow up the Absa ATM and took an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspects are still at large and investigations are under way.”
