A man wearing a black leather jacket and grey beanie is up to no good. The suspect is targeting pupils, mostly female students at Rand Park High School. The suspect lies in wait by the bridge to strike the vulnerable student who leaves the school last. The suspect is believed to be in possession of a weapon and is presumed to a be a danger to the pupils of the school.

An acquaintance of a recently-mugged victim contacted the Randburg Sun insisting the word be put out to inform the high school students to avoid the area, which is situated on the outskirts of the high school and close to River Road.

“We are scared because he carries a weapon and we walk past the bridge during the day and it’s really quiet,” said a concerned pupil of Rand Park High School.

The school has recently been informed of the problem, and is making it a matter of urgency to make an announcement to inform all the students to avoid the exact location. The school will also involve the Honeydew police.
