Ann Harding Cheshire Home (AHCH) hosted their annual golf day on 15 September at the Eagle Canyon Golf Club in Honeydew.
Chairperson of the non-profit organisation, Lyndall Roman said the golf day was held to generate funds for the running costs of the home.
“About 20 per cent of the home’s income is dependent on donations and fundraisers,” said Roman.
Roman said the home located in Northwold, has been running since 1967 and has 40 residents that are provided with 24-hour care.
She explained residents in the home are mostly people who were not born disabled but became so due to accidents or illnesses.
Roman said the aim was to raise R30 000.
Some of the prizes included a weekend at the Raddison Blue Hotel in Sandton and vouchers from Hoogland Health Hydro.
