Local school brings hope to children’s haven
The donations made an impactful impression in the lives of the children.
Crawford International Ruimsig recently organised a charity drive that exceeded all expectations.
The drive, held in support of St Laurence’s Children’s Haven, saw an outpouring of donations from parents, students and residents, reaffirming the strong sense of compassion within the school community.
The charity drive, branded #CrawfordCares, brought together individuals from all walks of life to contribute to a cause close to many hearts. Donations poured in, with toys, clothing, blankets and even nourishing soup collected to benefit the children at St Laurence’s. The immediate impact of these contributions was felt as the donations quickly made their way to the children, bringing both practical aid and emotional support to those in need.
According to the school’s marketing director, Lindsay van Boven, each item donated was more than just a gift – it was a reminder to the children of St Laurence’s that they are cared for, valued and not forgotten.
“Your donations have provided more than just material items; they’ve brought warmth, comfort, and hope to those who need it most. Each toy, each blanket, and each item of clothing is a reminder to these children that they are cared for and valued. Your generosity has truly touched hearts and made a difference in ways words cannot fully express,” Lindsay said.
“We are incredibly grateful for the spirit of giving that runs through our community. This initiative wouldn’t have been possible without your unwavering support, and we can’t thank you enough for joining us in this mission of kindness and compassion,” she expressed.
Special thanks were extended to the school’s drivers, Uncle Kenny and Uncle Martin, who ensured that the donations were safely delivered to the children’s haven. Their dedication to seeing the initiative through was appreciated by all who participated.
