Women’s health in focus

Life Wilgeheuwel hosted a Women's Health Affair event in honour of Women's Month.

Life Wilgeheuwel Hospital hosted a Women’s Health Affair at Eagle Canyon Golf Estate on August 17 in honour of Women’s Month, and to provide a positive platform for women to be celebrated and advised by health practitioners.

According to marketing and communications manager Natasha Griffin, the goal was to encourage women to embrace their individuality and celebrate their resilience rather than promoting health.

As the guests arrived, they were treated to a warm welcome from the various stalls promoting perfume and feminine products. The women were treated with massages to ease them into the programme of the day.

A panel discussion was hosted by hospital specialists, who briefly spoke to the women on the importance of feminine hygiene, dietary tips and both physical and mental conditions affecting women.

The highlight of the day was the master make-up class hosted by Revlon, followed by a fun fitness class hosted by Cherry Dance.

“Our guests were so involved in the panel discussion as they received additional advice from our specialist and a chance to properly engage with them on certain issues.

“We are so thankful for Eagle Canyon to allow us to host this event to celebrate women and remind them how beautiful and resilient they are,” Natasha said.
