#CaxtonCares Blanket Drive a success

Roodepoort Record distributes blankets to community members.

The Roodepoort Record team embarked on their Caxton Cares journey on Wednesday, July 17 and distributed blankets to heroes of the community and the most vulnerable.

The Caxton Joburg West team started their #CaxtonCares Blanket Drive at the beginning of June to give back to the community they serve, and the drive was a huge success as different organisations like the FullFlame Church donated a swelter of blankets for the team.

The blankets were distributed among the Caxton Joburg West newspapers, and among the Record’s beneficiaries were the elderly at the Antionette Old Age Home situated in the heart of Claremont.

This home has been a small sanctuary for the elderly in the community for years, and 11 elderly residents received blankets.

The Record wishes to encourage individuals in the greater community to not wait for Mandela Day to make a difference, but every day is a day to make a difference.
