#CaxtonCares: A blanket to keep the cold at bay

Warming lives one blanket at a time.

The #CaxtonCares Joburg West Blanket Drive team gave out blankets to the homeless around Witpoortjie on a cold Monday, July 8.

Gauteng Weather SA warned citizens about a cold front that swept through South Africa over the weekend with July 8 and 9 being the coldest days of the year so far.

The #CaxtonCares team went out in the cold breeze to hand out blankets to those who needed them the most. The receivers of the blankets were happy and showed gratitude and appreciation as most of the recipients are homeless.

The Blanket Drive has received a lot of support from people who want to help those in need and you can also play your part by donating a new or used blanket. Your used blanket needs to be in good condition to be used by someone else, with no holes. Also, no unkept blankets will be accepted.
