Revellers descend on Medieval Fayre
The annual AlterEgos Medieval Fayre attracted hundreds of revellers on Saturday.
The much-anticipated Magical Medieval Fayre held at the Greensleeves Medieval Kingdom in Sterkfontein this past weekend attracted large crowds of revellers from far and wide.
From the word go it was difficult to focus as it seemed everywhere one looked, there was something spectacular and fantastical to see.
Fayre-goers took to the theme enthusiastically with innovative costumes and eager support for the multitude of stalls, which featured everything from authentic meads, homebrewed beers, and a wide variety of food including wild boar stew and roasted turkey legs, to name just a few.
Also on display were clothing, leather products, costumes, honey products, herbal remedies, and much more.
The Medieval Fayre’s organisers, AlterEgos, thought of everything, with more than 100 stalls selling everything imaginable, and an extensive selection of entertainment and activities available for young and old.
Activities included archery to medieval-styled war games, sword fighting, and various other games and competitions, including a best-dressed competition.
