Paint donation aids mini-subs project
LIFCO wasted no time in utilizing a paint donation from Universal Paints Allen's Nek to beautify mini-substations in the area.
The Little Falls and Struben’s Valley Community Forums (LIFCO) received a generous donation from Universal Paints in Allen’s Nek, which they are using to help beautify secured mini-substations throughout the area.
According to LIFCO chairperson Claire Fauchet, securing and beautifying mini-substations is only one of the many projects undertaken by the organisation.
“Out of the 46 mini-subs in our area, we’ve secured 35 so far. We pride ourselves on keeping our area clean and neat. Once we have secured a mini-substation, we paint it, making sure that it is not an eyesore in our community.”
Fauchet says that the donation came about after she posted a plea for paint donations on a community WhatsApp group.
The donation was handed over by the owner of Universal Paints, Trudie Reinecke’s son, Dwayne, and the LIFCO team wasted no time painting a newly secured mini-sub on Victoria Avenue in Little Falls.
