New heights for Crawford matriculants of 2023

Matriculants of 2023 express the challenges that come with studying for their future.

With all eyes on the IEB matriculants receiving their results, tension and excitement were palpable.

Among the top three learners who passed with distinctions, three matric learners worked incredibly hard to pass with the outcomes they manifested. The three, Nyalleng Nkofo, Thandolwethu Nkosi, and Lathitha Mashiyi, discussed how difficult it was to balance their demanding schedules and academics at the same time.

They all expressed how deeply concerned they were about the mental health consequences of attempting to pass every subject and study diligently. They mentioned how they had to take a break from their extracurricular mural activities to concentrate on their studies. A study group was created where learners could talk about their worries and encourage each other as their examinations drew near. In 2024, they intend to pursue further studies in fields such as construction, clinical psychology, and law.

School principal David Maree expressed how he was extremely proud of the class of 2023 and their amazing results. He emphasised how it took hard work, dedication, and commitment to push them to get to where they needed to be.
