Roodepoort Primary’s grade sevens talk about high school

Grade seven learners talk about their excitement about going to high school in 2024.

The Roodepoort Record visited Roodepoort Primary and chatted with some of their grade sevens on how they feel about going to high school in 2024.

This is what they had to say:

• Omolemo Mahloko: “I would say I am mostly excited and curious about the challenges I will face. I am looking forward to a new chapter and new beginnings to achieve my goals, one of which is to be a good student throughout high school. One of my other goals is to be a successful entrepreneur and businesswoman one day. I just want the best for his new chapter in my life.”

• Bokamoso Bereng: “I have mixed emotions about going to high school next year; I feel kind of sad but also excited. I feel sad because I am leaving my old school because it feels like my home and I always feel safe here. The teachers are like my parents, and everything they do is to ensure that I do my best and achieve all my goals. I am excited about high school because I am moving forward towards my goal and making new friends, and, even though I heard that high school is hard, I am excited to face the new challenges; something I will try my hardest to overcome, no matter how high the pressure gets.”
