Junior Snuggles welcome parents and extended families for fun day

A variety of activities were set up to teach little ones the value of healthy living.

Junior Colleges Snuggles hosted a sports and family fun day on July 29.

Light competition and a heap of excitement were the first prizes as teachers looked to instill healthy living among the young children and their parents. The challenges included footraces, a variety of obstacle courses, and several fitness sessions for the moms and dads to display their dexterity. All participants received wooden medals and participation memorabilia, with the school cognisant that future presents many more years to chase prizes.

Eating is an important facet of healthy living and a range of nutritious delights kept energy levels high. Principal Megan Hunt was in high spirits, embracing the family atmosphere.

“It takes a village and our community matters a great deal to us. Thank you to the parents for their enthusiasm, we love having them participate side by side with their children,” she concluded.
