One lane in Miles Stoker Road closed with immediate effect

Due to a sinkhole in Miles Stoker Road, the southbound carriageway is closed and traffic is being directed to the northbound carriageway.

Motorists will have to make do with only one lane available to drive on as the other in Miles Stoker Road has been closed due to a sinkhole.

According to Bertha Peters-Scheepers, the spokesperson for the Johannesburg Road Agency, the sinkhole appeared due to illegal mining activity which included tunneling beneath the road surface.
