IIE MSA library hosted a competition where their students were invited to write a short story of a maximum of 150 words about their childhood library experience. The entries were diverse and captivating, but ultimately three winners were selected for their outstanding contributions. First-year Commerce in Law student Elizabeth Meyer, Commerce student Jarred Ofula and Social Science student Sara Aboobaker walked away with the prizes.

“From a young age being in a library or any room filled with books was and still is my comfort space. I will always remember and be grateful to the kind high school librarian who allowed me to borrow multiple books at once.

Academic books have a special place in my heart because, through these, I developed my love for psychology, my current field of study, and what I hope to delve deeper into as my career path,” said Sara.

The IIE MSA Library is a hub of knowledge that provides access to a wide range of resources and information to students. The library is divided into three floors, each with its unique features and collections. The ground and first floor house the circulation desk and prescribed books and are dedicated to the postgraduate space for Honours and Masters’ students as well as general collections.

The second floor is made up of the multimedia and computer center and a quiet study area. The library also has a writing center where students can book an appointment for assistance with academic writing, paraphrasing, and referencing skills.
