The King’s School West Rand hosted its annual book day celebration last week.

Learners were asked to dress up as their favourite book character and to bring along a secondhand book to donate to the underprivileged. The school grounds were filled with a variety of different colours, characters and ideas as teachers and children alike brought their favourite books alive for just one day.

Days like this help encourage the learners to read, form bonds between teachers and the children and even create new friendships through a common interest – reading!
