Days left to enter 2023 Comrades Marathon

The entry period for next year’s Comrades Marathon closes at 16:30 on December 9, 2022 or once the entry cap of 20 000 has been reached, whichever comes first.

Runners only have days remaining until the entry process for next year’s Comrades Marathon closes.

The entry period closes at 16:30 on December 9, 2022 or once the entry cap of 20 000 has been reached, whichever comes first.

The 96th Comrades Marathon will be a Down Run on Sunday, June 11, 2023, starting at the inland City of Pietermaritzburg at 05:30 and ending 12 hours later in the coastal City of Durban. Due to the ongoing roadworks, the distance will be approximately 90km. This will be the 48th Comrades Down Run.

Comrades Marathon Association (CMA) Race Director Rowyn James said, “This is the last chance for our runners to secure their place on the start line of the 96th edition of The Ultimate Human Race. This is it!”

To enter, visit the Comrades Marathon website here [https://www.comrades.com/]

James added, in a bid to assist all athletes, the CMA has introduced a new component to the online entry system whereby an athlete can pay the entry fee off in two installments if they so wish – 50% of the entry value upon entering with the remaining 50% due by February 28, 2023.
