Sponsors get to see their asses

Tracey successfully finished the marathon in under 5 hours, which was her goal time.

Local animal lover, Tracey Christie, held a wonderful afternoon for all the sponsors who helped her virtually fly the many adorable donkeys from the Rest Ur Ass Donkey (RUA )Sanctuary with her to Cape Town.

Rodger and Tersia Brown jumped on board to also dedicate their run to the donkeys.

Tracey ran a gruelling 42.2km during the Cape Town Marathon earlier this year, dedicating her run to RUA.

Together with Rodger and Tersia Brown, who also dedicated their run to the donkeys, Tracey successfully finished the marathon in under 5 hours, which was her goal time. She boasted that next year she’d like to finish within four and a half hours.

Saturday, November 19, all the sponsors, 110 tickets in total, were welcomed into the sanctuary to come and meet the donkeys they ‘flew’ to Cape Town. They raised a total of R20 500 together.

The Sanctuary put together a raffle filled with donkey related memorabilia for one of the sponsors to win. Albert le Roux shuffled all the names and announced the winner of the raffle, Bridgette van Zyl.
