Exciting Beer Fest around the corner

Visitors can look forward to some good music, a beer tent and food stalls which will be supplied mainly by the IPA and Memorable Order of Tin Hats (MOTHs).

Members of the Chilly Trench Shellhole would like to invite the community to a first of its kind October Beer Festival.

The exciting event will take place on Saturday, 29 October at the Chilly Trench Shellhole located at 25 Dieperink Street in Roodepoort in aid of IPA Johannesburg and IPA West Rand.

The International Police Association (IPA) is an international independent, apolitical, non-profit and non-governmental body made up of members of police services (SAPS, SANDF Military Police, Metro Police Service, National- and Provincial Parks Board Law Enforcement and Traffic Police), whether serving or retired, and without distinction as to rank, sex, race, colour, language or religion.

“Through its motto of ‘Servo per Amikeco’ or ‘Service through Friendship’, the purpose of the IPA is to create bonds of friendship and to promote co-operation among its members and other police services,” Natasha Calitz from IPA West Rand said.

“The IPA West Rand Region, in cooperation with the IPA Johannesburg Region will be hosting this fundraising event and hope to welcome about 300 visitors for the day.”

The gates will open at 10:00 and close again at 18:00.

Visitors can look forward to some good music, a beer tent and food stalls which will be supplied mainly by the IPA and Memorable Order of Tin Hats (MOTHs). There will also be some captivating home- and handmade stalls to browse through.
