Have you ever started reading a book, only to be transported to a completely different world filled with magic and wonder?
On September 28, learners and teachers at Weltevreden Park Primary School brought their favourite book characters to life.
The Welties did this by dressing up as their favourite book characters, ranging from the Three Blind Mice to The Incredible Hulk, with some wizards thrown in for good measure.
Such days filled with books and fairy tales instill in young minds a love of reading. Reading is an escape for many people, and it has helped many learners improve their dialect, language skills and general knowledge of the world around them.
