Honeydew CPF calling on community to support massive fun run and family day this weekend

The Honeydew CPF Fun Run and Fete will be held at Weltevreden Park Primary School on September 24 from 08:30 to 16:00

The Honeydew Community Policing Forum (CPF) Fun Run and Fete returns with a bang this Saturday, September 24.

Not held since 2019 due to health restrictions, the Honeydew CPF is proud to announce the return of their showpiece event. This year will be bigger than before and will be a whole-day event that will feature live demonstrations, market stalls, great food and boerewors rolls cooked by the Honeydew CFP patrollers themselves.

A staple of the event is the 5km fun run or walk which will start at 08:30. Entrance fee for the run is only R20 per person or four-legged friends, and businesses or families are encouraged to enter the team event too. Close to 70 stalls will fill Weltevreden Park Primary School and they will be open at 08:30 and will serve patrons until 16:00. A wealth of market-day delights will be on offer for shoppers to revel in.

“We will also be hosting a few interactive displays where our fire, EMS and police teams will be showing off their skills on the day. We might even have a criminal or two being chased around the field. Come and support us on the day, as all funds raised will be going to the Honeydew CPF patrollers,” urged Honeydew CPF PRO, Michael Streyn.

There will be safe parking on the sports field for all cars where the security teams will keep a watchful eye.
