Community members share their Easter messages

"We wish everyone a happy Easter and a safe return home.”

The Easter spirit is one of renewal that enables us to show up at work with a positive attitude, to renew relationships that have been taken for granted, and to express appreciation and affection to those closest to us.

The Northsider spoke to a few community members and gave them the opportunity to share their Easter messages with the community at large.

“On behalf of all the staff at Weltevreden Park Library I would like to take this opportunity to wish the Weltevreden Park community a very blessed Easter weekend. May you enjoy time together with your families and have safe travels if you are leaving the province. God bless and we look forward to seeing you in the library in the future.”

“It is that time of the year when many people are celebrating Easter. For many it’s that long weekend getaway to spend with friends and family.

“We would like to wish everyone a pleasant weekend and a safe trip if you are travelling. Before you embark on your trip please remember the safety of your property and pets. It is important to check your fence, alarm system and beams with your security company before you leave home. Ensure that you have somebody looking after your property and that the person can be contacted by your security company during an emergency. Ask neighbours to keep an eye on your property, remove items from your mailbox and make sure that your animals are taken care of at your property or a reputable kennel.

“As The King’s School West Rand, we celebrate Easter as one of the highlights of our faith each year. May you and your family experience the peace and joy of Christ this Easter weekend, seek his presence among you, and express your gratitude to the Lord for the wonderful gift of resurrection life.”
