High tea and glamour with Lil Choices at Donovan MacDonald Hall

The Donovan MacDonald Hall was packed with supporters, sponsors, ambassadors and volunteers as Lil Choices non-profit organisation (NPO) held a High Tea extravaganza on February 26.
The NPO has not been able to host a grand event for three years and this year returned with a cost-effective bang. Not wanting to add any extra pressure or costs on her beloved guests, Lil Choices’ Rae Bagus opted for a denim theme. “We did not want to add any expense and we thought well everyone has some denim item of clothing in their cupboard. All we wanted was for everyone to be there to enjoy the atmosphere,” said Rae.
Eugene Absolom was the afternoon’s guest speaker with sponsor Dr Ntombizonke Zwane receiving a special gift for her contributions. Gifts were also given to the NPO’s ambassadors and volunteers, including Steven Claasen and Eileen Kovacs who assist with psychologist and auditing duties, respectively. Atlas Copco and Amka Products extended their appreciation with donations towards the evening’s hampers.
“A big thank you to everybody who has made this happen and for your support over the years. Thank you for sticking with us, your support helps change lives,” said Rae.
