Two suspects arrested in dramatic Lindhaven operation

Specialist police units secured the arrest of two suspects in connection with vehicle theft and drug manufacturing on January 13.

Authorities tracked two hijacked vehicles to a street in Lindhaven, where unmarked police vehicles pounced on two armed males. The two vehicles, a silver Volkswagen hatchback and black Mercedes-Benz, had been hijacked in Orange Farm and Yeoville the previous day.

Colonel Dimakatso Sello, Provincial Police spokesperson said, “Upon recovering the two stolen vehicles, a further inspection of the property revealed the men had set up a drug manufacturing laboratory in the house. The two men were arrested for possession of hijacked vehicles and dealing in drugs.”
