ICF hosts Leaders Against Bullying awards

The Leader Against Bullying walks away with prizes valued at over R9 000, and the runner-up with prizes that are worth over R8 500.

Roodepoort — On Friday, December 10 the Ipeleng Cares Foundation (ICF) held the Leaders Against Bullying award ceremony at the Roodepoort Theatre.

According to ICF Founder Ipeleng Mofokeng the aim of the event is to recognise and award the leaders who, for the past six months, had been part of their Leaders Against Bullying programme which is a character-building and life-skills programme.

The leaders were awarded for their participation in the programme and online chess.

Gian Charles was named the First Leader Against Bullying of the Year, a very noble title which entails being a spokesperson for the leaders and keeper of the trophy of tenacity.

The evening also saw Lindelani Mutavhatsindi being awarded the first runner-up position, while the second runner-up was Asakhe Cengimbo.

The Leaders Against Bullying – Chess Player of the Year went to the 11-year-old Tsebo Mofokeng, and the People's Choice award went to eighth grader Lindelani Mutavhatsindi.

The Leader Against Bullying walks away with prizes valued at over R9 000, and the runner-up with prizes that are worth over R8 500.

“We are excited for organisations such as Azania Vocational Training Academy that will be providing the 12 leaders with socio-emotional development training, career guidance and academic goals.

“Beyond Speech will also provide the leaders with public speaking skills which also include breathing and articulation skills.

“All of this will be worth over R75 000 and last for the whole of 2022. A big thank you to our in-kind sponsors for their support, we are looking forward to a very exciting and uplifting year,” said Ipeleng.
