Second week of August testing stations

According to the Department of Health’s Health Promotion Manager, Given Chauke, they aim to test at least 500 people every week.

We need to be prepared for the fact that Covid-19 isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. It’s the nature of viruses to mutate and adapt to ensure their existence.

That’s why the Gauteng Department of Health staff have been working tirelessly for the past few months to ensure as many members of the Roodepoort community were tested for Covid-19.

This is part of their Community Covid-19 Outreach Plan which involves testing stations being put up throughout Roodepoort within areas considered as hotspots. According to the Department of Health’s Health Promotion Manager, Given Chauke, they aim to test at least 500 people every week.

This is their Community Outreach Schedule for the rest of the week:
• Wednesday, August 11 – Shumisano Bram Fischer (Ward 49)
• Thursday, August 12 – Bram Fischer Sport Ground (Ward 44)
• Friday, August 13 – Snake Park Block 1 (Ward 129)
• Saturday, August 14 – Wilro Park Spar (Ward 83)

The Department of Health encourages members of the public to make use of these testing stations to contribute to the safety of the community.
