The renewed impetus from safety and security forces around Florida is tackling the area’s drug problem, one strike at a time. Florida Community Policing Forum (FCPF), together with police and private security companies secured the arrests of suspects in connection with dealing in drugs, and removed substances from the streets.
In two separate incidents on June 25 and 30, 17 packets of heroin and various amounts of mandrax, marijuana and crystal methamphetamine were confiscated. “Well done to Florida Police, JMPD, Gauteng Traffic and security companies,” said Prashan Sukhu, FCPF chairperson.
The door is always open for those who wish to join the community-orientated fight against crime. “We are very excited and appreciative of the work being put in by all role players in tackling the drug problems of Florida. We humbly request residents to join our ‘Community in Blue’ programme,” said Prashan.
