Infant injured in Sunday evening Wilro Park accident

Paramedics treated the infant on scene before transporting her to hospital

Accidents are tragic occurrences, especially when the transportation of precious cargo is involved.

Three people were injured in a collision at the corner of CR Swart Road and Foxglove Avenue on 6 June. The youngest of the injured was an eight-month-old baby girl who sadly sustained critical injuries. Paramedics, who arrived at the scene shortly before 7.30pm, immediately began administering advanced life support to the injured infant, before she was transported to hospital for further care.

“Two patients were found walking around at the scene, and they had sustained minor injuries. The patients were treated at the scene before being transported to hospital for further medical care,” stated ER24’s Ineke van Huyssteen. The details around the cause of the accident have not been confirmed but the authorities that were on scene are investigating the incident.
