Active Covid-19 cases in Region C up to 664

The total number of active Covid-19 cases in the City of Johannesburg is at 3 965 according to the latest report by the Gauteng Provincial Government.

The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in City of Johannesburg, Region C, stood at 22 088 according to Gauteng Provincial Government’s latest breakdown. A total of 21 047 people have recovered thus far. There has been 377 Covid-19 related deaths. This brings the total number of active cases in the area to 664.

Rand West City and Merafong City, and Mogale City which forms part of the West Rand District, have had 7 208, 5 463 and 13 194 cases respectively. Rand West City, Merafong City and Mogale City have seen 6 853, 5 141, and 12 417 recoveries respectively.

The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the City of Johannesburg is 173 415 with 3 436 deaths and 166 014 recoveries. This brings the total number of active cases in the District to 3 965.

The confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 440 849 with 419 147 recoveries and 10 985 deaths. This translates to 10 717 active cases within the Province.
