City Power will be conducting maintenance on the Penny Street Substation on Wednesday, 12 May and has therefore announced the need for a planned power interruption in the area.
The City of Joburg’s electricity entity has stated that this planned interruption is necessary to do essential maintenance on their system, and thereby prevent unplanned power outages.
The outage will be in effect from 8am until 4pm and will affect the majority of Ward 71, namely:
• Witpoortjie and all extensions
• Grobler Park and all extensions
• Lindhaven
• Culembeeck
• Princess
• Princess AH

As the supply may be restored at anytime, customers are urged to treat their electricity supply points as live at all times.
