Cable theft leaves Fleurhof without power

The outage was reportedly caused by an attempted cable theft near where the cable crosses the river.

The sections of Fleurhof that are fed power from the Pennyville Substation have been without electricity since last night, 21 April.

The Ward 70 councillor, Caleb Fin, has notified residents of the affected Fleurhof extensions that the outage was caused by an attempted cable theft near where the cable crosses the river.

City Power has reportedly been unable to provide an estimated time of restoration (ETR) but Caleb has confirmed that technicians are on scene and are busy with repair work.
The Record will post an update as soon as an ETR is made available.
