Recently the little ones used the Kagan Strategy called ‘Match Mine’ to improve their communications skills.

Kagan Structures are research-based instructional strategies that have a track record of improving academic achievement and social outcomes.

The children worked in pairs and used their language skills to describe to their partner how to draw a picture. Afterwards, they compared pictures to see how well they could describe and follow instructions.

There was also a round robin to practise their spelling using the Kagan strategy, and they enjoyed some quiet time reading.
