Swimming talent at Crawford International Ruimsig flourishes despite challenges

Both learners have met all CGA and Swimming South Africa's (SSA) criteria to qualify to swim at the Open Water Nationals scheduled from 19 to 21 March at Marina Martinique in Jeffrey’s Bay.

A successful swimming season does not happen by accident, and efforts to make it more challenging can improve the effectiveness of the training and help swimmers progress.

It’s been a tough swimming season with the limited training and competing opportunities for all swimmers due to Covid-19 regulations.

With that in mind Crawford International Ruimsig are proud that despite all these challenges, their learners Chante Joubert and Kate Whittaker were able to push through the obstacles before them and excel.

The school has congratulated Chante and Kate who have been selected to the Central Gauteng Aquatics (CGA) team for the 2021 Open Water Nationals.

Both learners have met all CGA and Swimming South Africa’s (SSA) criteria to qualify to swim at the Open Water Nationals scheduled from 19 to 21 March at Marina Martinique in Jeffrey’s Bay.

“We are incredibly proud of Chante and Kate, and take this time to honour their perseverance and commitment to open water swimming. You are going to do incredible things,” said Head of Marketing and Admissions,” Tshepiso Makhalemele.
