Employees nabbed for allegedly stealing stock

The store manager allegedly instructed the reaction officers on the scene to look inside a particular truck.

 

On Friday, 13 November, Apcan Control Centre responded to a panic button activation from a guard at Honeydew Village Shopping Centre.

Upon arrival, the security company’s area vehicle personnel were informed of the possibility that stock could have been stolen by retail employees.

The store manager allegedly instructed the reaction officers on the scene to look inside a particular truck.

A search was conducted and the reaction officers indeed found stock to the value of R4 529,80 stolen from the store in the possession of the suspects.

The four suspects were apprehended by the Apcan officers and handed over to Honeydew Police who arrested them on scene.

Honeydew Police spokesperson, Captain Balan Muthan confirmed to the Northsider that four suspects had been arrested they were being detained at the Honeydew Police Station.
