The DA Caucus leader cited how electrifying the streets, especially Christiaan de Wet Road, would benefit her ward.

“I’m very excited to let you know that the Christiaan de Wet new streetlight project has commenced. As someone who travels this road quite often at night, and having stopped on more than one occasion to help people who have broken down in the dark, I can genuinely say that it’s a huge relief to finally get some lighting up along this road,” she said.

“Thank you to all residents and the Radiokop and Honeydew RAs who assisted in making submissions during the last IDP session. We are only as effective as the voices behind us, and active citizenry plays a huge part in achieving things,” Leah explained.

“As the DA we spent many nights negotiating budget with the current administration and this project is an example of why we did that, in addition to the reduced tariff increases and rebates that we negotiated,” she highlighted the success.
