The weekly Hirsch’s Entrepreneurs Workshop Webinars continue to grow in popularity.
They have been a place of sanity and comfort for struggling small business owners around the country during the nationwide lockdown.
During these webinars the powerful duo, anchors Margaret Hirsch and ActionCOACH’s Marlene Powell, give sound, sage and practical advice on how entrepreneurs can keep their businesses healthy during this extraordinary time in our history.
They are always joined by panellists who share their experiences to help business owners through this crisis.
On Friday, 22 May, they were joined by Consumer Watch’s Wendy Knowler and ActionCOACH’s Harry Welby-Cooke.
Wendy pointed out that at times like these, CEOs need to make a commitment to be the go-to person when it comes to consumer complaints.
“At a time like this communication, even if it’s not going to be positive, is vital and the CEO needs to be in the frontline when it comes to dealing with the public,” she pointed out.
She added that, bookings made and cancelled, the CPA still stands and refunds need to be given. Harry Welby-Cooke, the Master Licensee for ActionCOACH South Africa said that knowing businesses were going to take a knock, but understanding that they could still survive, was extremely important.
“Don’t keep looking at the negative. There are also a lot of positive things happening right now,” he said.
The final messages from speakers were, “Act on gratitude. Share it. Give back. Plan something that you can look forward to when we come out of lockdown.”
Margaret’s final word was, “Don’t focus on fear. Be an inspiration to those around you!”
