Two killed in Dobsonville accident

The details surrounding this incident are not yet known

Two women were killed and eight others injured yesterday afternoon, 3 June, in a collision between three light motor vehicles on Elias Motsoaledi Road in Dobsonville.

Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesperson said, “ER24 paramedics, along with several other services, arrived on the scene at 4.50pm to find the three vehicles in the middle of the road. Three women were trapped inside the vehicles while several other accident victims were found scattered around the scene.

ER24 Rescue Medics and Provincial Fire Services had to use specialised equipment to free the entrapped women from the vehicles.

“Paramedics then found that one of the women had already succumbed to her numerous injuries; nothing could be done for her and she was declared dead.”

Five other patients were found to be in a critical condition, including a girl believed to be two years old, while four others had sustained moderate injuries. Paramedics treated the patients and provided the critically injured with advanced life support interventions. The patients were subsequently transported to nearby hospitals for urgent care.

Unfortunately, during transportation, another critically injured woman succumbed to her injuries,” said Meiring.

The details surrounding this incident are not yet known, but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
