Additional house robbery suspects wanted

A victim aged 37 was sitting outside with her three friends when they were approached by five individuals in a silver Toyota Corolla.

An additional five suspects are the latest to be sought by the Muldersdrift Police after committing a house robbery in Nooitgedacht on Sunday, 17 November.

According to the spokesperson for the station, Constable Slindile Ntuli, the incident occurred at about 5pm, when a victim aged 37 was sitting outside with her three friends. They were approached by five individuals in a silver Toyota Corolla.

“Three of the men got out of the vehicle and requested to purchase a live chicken from the victim, who told them she had run out of stock. They then asked for water and followed the victim into the house.”

“Once inside, the men pulled out firearms, threatened the victim and demanded money. She directed them to where the money was. One of them called the fourth person from the vehicle and told him to bring the other three victims inside,” she explained.

She further explained that a security guard heard noises and rushed to assist the victims but was also threatened with firearms. All the victims were robbed of their cellphones and an undisclosed amount of cash.

After the robbery, the perpetrators fled the scene.

Muldersdrift Police are still on the lookout for the three suspects who were involved in a business and house robbery incident earlier this month.
