Ward 126 councillor David Brand has indicated on his social platforms that repairs are currently underway following an outage which left parts of Weltevreden Park without power today, Wednesday, 9 October.
“City Power are joining cables (but working in a very deep hole) and hope to restore power by this evening,” Brand indicated.

He also clarified that the damage was not caused by a Rand Water contractor, but the cable is deeply buried after the contractor backfilled the trench.
