Daycare in Zandspruit needs your help

The Daycare centre is appealing to the community of Roodepoort to make donations towards the Christmas party they are planning to have for the children on 7 December.

Zamokuhle Daycare in Zandspruit looks after just over a hundred children who come from disadvantaged backgrounds. Some of their parents are not able to afford even the small monthly fee charged, which makes it difficult to function.

The Daycare is appealing to the community of Roodepoort to make donations towards the Christmas party they are planning to have for the children on 7 December.

On the same day, there will a graduation ceremony for the older children, but it too will only be possible through the donations received from the community.

The principal of the centre, Princess Kwakwari, said, “We would like to ask the public to support our daycare centre. We would like every child to feel what Christmas is really about, and make them happy on the day.”

Members of the community and businesses that are interested in making a difference in these children’s lives can contact Princess on 073 810 1469 or 066 528 8187, or simply visit the day care in Zandspruit.

The Daycare would appreciate donations in the form of party packs for the Christmas party, funds and any donations to help them make their building a better place for the children.
