Springboks in the group of death perhaps?

The hosts, Japan, will most definitely be looking at an attempt to follow up on their famous 2015 upset victory over the Springboks to entertain their home fans.

The 2019 Rugby World Cup, the ninth such competition, and the first to be held in Asia, takes place in Japan from 20 September to 2 November.

Three-time world champions, New Zealand, will defend the Webb Ellis Cup against 19 other nations who have already qualified for the World Cup.

The Springboks and the Wallabies have each won the World Cup on two occasions and are among those tipped to rival the All Blacks, along with the 2003 champions, England.

Other teams like Argentina, Wales, Ireland, Scotland and France will be looking at causing upsets in the tournament and be effective in the knockout stages.

It looks like Fiji has assembled a formidable squad capable of causing a few upsets and achieving a positive result or two.

Rugby fans, especially in South Africa, cannot wait to see how the Springboks will line up, especially being in the same pool as the All Blacks.

Pool B is no doubt perceived as the group of death, and it will be very interesting to see who will dominate and top the pool.
