A suspect was apprehended yesterday, Tuesday, 15 May, after allegedly attempting to steal a woman’s car and assaulting her at a pre-school in Constantia Kloof.
Beagle Watch, whose officers apprehended the suspect, reported that they received a panic signal from a client at the crèche after hearing screams from a mother who was held up in their parking lot while waiting to fetch her children.

Thugs tried to steal the victim’s car but were unsuccessful when it would not start. When not being able to steal the car, they assaulted the victim and robbed her of her valuables, according to the report.
The Beagle Watch response officers were dispatched immediately to respond to the call. They managed to apprehend a suspect who tried to flee on foot. He was handed over to the police and arrested.
