WATCH: Team Mayhem coaches honoured with brand new vehicles

The vehicles were a reward for the phenomenal work the pair does with Mayhem Fitness Academy.

Two coaches from Mayhem Fitness Academy, Morgan Hunter and Dwain Meredith, have had their phenomenal work rewarded with the gift of a brand new Isuzu bakkie.

Morgan, who found himself jogging from his house in Helderkruin to work in Ruimsig for a while, was completely unaware of the fact that he would be receiving a brand new vehicle. Dwain, on the other hand, was aware of the fact that Morgan would be receiving a bakkie, and had to keep Morgan in the dark, not knowing he would receive one of his own.

The handover took place at Rumble & Hum Tattoo, with Dwain and Morgan arriving while Rumble & Hum founder Lewis Williams was conducting a mock interview with Jason Steyn of JSS Industrial Coatings (one of the sponsors of the cars). Lewis then welcomed Dwain and Morgan, subsequently giving Morgan a lot of stick for his loss at EWC Fight Night 10 the weekend before.

They then walked outside to where the bakkies were, with Morgan still not having a clue about what was going on. It wasn’t long before Lewis told Morgan, who could barely believe it as he forced back the tears. Once Morgan got a look at his bakkie, Dwain got some special news of his own; the second bakkie outside was his.

“I can’t believe it, I’ve had to keep Morgan in the dark this whole time, and there’s one for me as well?” said Dwain, who had been hoping to get a new car seeing as he has a second child on the way. Morgan, still fighting back the tears like the true fighter he is, humbly said, “I don’t know if I deserve this, but I am eternally grateful”.Lewis, when announcing the gift of the bakkies to Morgan and Dwain, said, “I couldn’t think of two guys who deserve it more, the work that you guys do with the children at Mayhem is amazing, and now they can finally tell mom and dad when they see your new bakkies in traffic”.

The brand new Isuzu bakkies are courtesy of not only JSS, but En-Gage Furniture as well, and are branded with Dwain and Morgan’s names as well as the Mayhem Fitness Academy logo on the bakkies’ bonnets.
