André Schwartz targeted in hospital parking area
According to a Jacaranda FM report, Schwartz, who tweeted about the incident on 25 October, was visiting his mother, Ina Engelbrecht, at the Wilgeheuwel Hospital in Roodepoort when three armed men jumped out of their car.
Parking lots seem to have become crime hot spots for criminals targeting motorists in the area.
This follows the robbery committed against the popular Afrikaans singer, André Schwartz, who was allegedly held at gunpoint by brazen suspects in the parking area at a local hospital.

According to a Jacaranda FM report, Schwartz, who tweeted about the incident on 25 October, was visiting his mother, Ina Engelbrecht, at the Wilgeheuwel Hospital in Roodepoort when three armed men jumped out of their car and attacked him. He tweeted the following: “NB: White Audi A4 SD 68 VY GP. Look out and report to cops. Just been held up [by] three guys [carrying] three guns. [They pointed at my] crotch, chest and mouth … in the hospital parking area. They are very dangerous [and] it seems they are after Rolex [watches].”

It is uncertain what was demanded from him by the armed men, but the Northsider gathered that the incident left him traumatised.
