Maragon Ruimsig inducts school’s new leaders
The special ceremony also saw the announcing of the school's head prefects for 2019.
Maragon Ruimsig inducted its prefects for 2019 into their new roles during a special ceremony held on Thursday, 11 October.
The special ceremony got under way with the 2018 prefects being thanked for their year of service before they said farewell. Their last act of official duty was to pin prefect badges on the leaders who will be hoping to fill their shoes.
Once the passing over of duties was finished, it came time to announce the prefects who would be leading the group and the school as a whole next year. Excitement filled the school’s Grand Hall as Eleni Manias was announced as the Deputy Head Girl and Nkensani Mashisane as the Deputy Head Boy.
As anticipation filled the room, a chorus of applause erupted when Tristyn Ferreiro (Head Girl) and Israel Chiloane, (Head Boy) were announced as the Head Prefects for 2019.
