VIDEO: Mayor at Honeydew Police Station for Zandspruit issues
City of Johannesburg Mayor Herman Mashaba accompanied by a crew of officials have arrived in Honeydew Police Station this morning, Friday, 19 October, to discuss issues pertaining to Zandspruit.
The meeting, held at the Honeydew Police Station, which included Eskom officials and community members of Zandspruit, stemmed from a violent two-day protest which rocked the area on Monday and Tuesday this week.
The cause of the protest was the anger fuelled by the illegal connections which resulted in the death of two children.
It is understood that CoJ Executive Mayor Herman Mashaba will visit Zandspruit to address the community shortly.
