Hirsch’s helps puts Grace Help Centre’s problems to bed

Hirsch's Strubens Valley, Trinityhouse Preparatory School Little Falls, Cloud Nine, and Rest Assured recently contributed to a drive in aid of the children at Grace Help Centre in Rustenburg.

Grace Help Centre is a care facility founded over 20 years ago that cares for the needs of abused women and children, human trafficking victims and vulnerable children left to fend for themselves.

Hirsch’s initiated a drive at Trinityhouse Preparatory School Little Falls, in which the classes could compete with each other to determine which one could collect the most cuddly toys. The class that collected the most toys was Grade 1C, with 169 toys.

Cloud Nine and Rest Assured donated a number of mattresses to go along with the toys to be handed over to Grace Help Centre.

“It is such a wonderful feeling to know that the children of Trinityhouse are made aware that there are so many children that are less fortunate than they are and that they are able to make a difference in their lives, as well as being able to give back to the community,” commented Kassandra Strydom, deputy principal at Trinityhouse Little Falls.

The care centre has a capacity of approximately 50 people, according to Hirsch’s Strubens Valley public relations officer, Dorette Nel.

“The little ones at Grace Help Centre were extremely excited to meet the visitors, and full of joy when they received the cuddly toys,” Dorette said.

“The older children were at school when all this excitement was taking place but had a wonderful surprise awaiting them when they returned.”

Rina van der Berg of Grace Help Centre expressed her heartfelt thanks for this gesture and added that any donation, big or small, is always welcome and appreciated.
