Jay Club and MiWay Life welcome Prime Circle and Jay du Plessis to Ruimsig Country Club
Ross and Dale from Prime Circle joined Jay du Plessis and Ampie du Preez for the Jay Club and MiWay Life Golf Day on Tuesday, 20 March at Ruimsig Country Club.
The Jay Club was founded 14 years ago by South African pop music singer and former Eden member, Jay du Plessis, when he saw the need for a way to reduce the costs of insurance at a time when the country’s economy was going through a bit of a downer.
“Members of the Jay Club are granted certain perks, be it with insurance, tickets to shows, or even holidays for their family,” Jay said.
One of the club’s greatest partners and contributors is MiWay, and together they were able to host yet another successful golf day at Ruimsig Country Club, which also partners with the Jay Club.
Prime Circle members Ross Learmoth and Dale Schnettler were also part of the day. They have been friends with Jay for a while, and strongly support the Jay Club.
Ampie du Preez, who has also been great friends with Jay for a while, is a huge fan of golf and enjoys being out on the course.
He also strongly supports the Jay Club because, in his opinion, “A CD and a car guard are the only things that have stayed the same for the last 15 years.”
The golf day was played in a betterball format, where players are paired with one another, and the best player’s score is then counted for the total.
The day started off with Ampie up first on the first tee, with Ross, Dale, and Jay getting their day going in the next fourball.
The day’s golf finished just before the rain made its guest appearance, with everybody managing to card a round of 18.
At the end of the day, the results were as follows:
Overall:
1st – Brandon Geyser and Gerrit Strydom (64 points)
2nd – Willie Wepener and Pierre (surname not provided) (58 points)
3rd – Brendon Hargroves and Carmen Hargroves (57 points)
Nearest to the pin:
5 – Ampie du Preez
7 – Robbie Cruz
11 – Quentin Chambers
17 – JP de Waal
