Bogus real-estate agents on prowl

Property owners are warned to be on the lookout of bogus real-estate agents.

Residents of Little Falls are being warned of bogus estate agents targeting posh homes currently on the market.

This warning was issued by SRT Security after they shared a photo of two women using the same car caught on camera approaching a property. The vehicle’s visible registration plate could not be found on the vehicle checking system.

Maggie Bezuidenhout, speaking on behalf of the security company, indicated that they’d responded to a similar matter in their jurisdiction where a homeowner let in two women who pretended to be estate agents.

“There was an incident in our area. The homeowner has her home on market and recently had an open day. Two women driving in a Mercedes Benz went into her house and ransacked it,” Bezuidenhout explained.

She added that property owners need to be alert as these women look convincing since they drive very expensive cars.
