Panorama set to host opening tournament; here’s all the details

Panorama Football Club is hosting its opening tournament this weekend (10-11 March) and here's what you need to know.

Panorama FC hosted several pre-season match days this year and its opening tournament is finally due.

This weekend’s tournament will involve the U/6s right through to the U/12s.

The U/6, U/8, U/10, and U/12 teams will play on Saturday while the U/7, U/9, and U/11 age groups will take to the field on Sunday.

The U/6s to the U/10s will play in a non-competitive format and all partaking players will receive a medal.

The U/11s and U/12s will play competitively.

Players in the top two teams in each age group will receive medals, with the winning team receiving a trophy.

There will also be individual prizes for the best goalkeeper, best player as well as the top goalscorer.

The U/6 teams will play four versus four with four rolling subs, and the U/7 teams will play five versus five with the same number of rolling subs.

The U/8s, U/9s and U/10s will play seven versus seven with five rolling subs, while the U/11s and U/12s will play nine versus nine with five rolling subs.

As far as costs are concerned, the U/6s to U/10s will pay R400 per team, and the U/11s and U/12s will pay R600 per team.
