Man resuscitated after collapsing

A man, believed to be in his 70s, was resuscitated on 7 February after he collapsed in his driveway on 7th Avenue in Fairlands.

ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said paramedics received reports from the local community regarding the incident.

“Paramedics found the man lying in his driveway. They quickly assessed him and found that he showed no signs of life.

“CPR and advanced life support interventions were immediately initiated in an effort to revive him. Fortunately, after 20 minutes, the patient’s vital signs returned,” said Meiring.

He added that the man was rushed to Life Flora Hospital for urgent treatment.
